  • When in doubt…

Why name your car?

Think about it – you spend hours upon hours driving your car every week. You talk to it, you confide in it, and sometimes, you even yell at it we won't judge.

So why not give it a name and make it official?

Plus, it's a great conversation starter. "I'm sorry, I can't go out tonight. I have to wash Dolly."

Instant personality points.

And if nothing else, you'll never forget where you parked in a crowded lot again. So go ahead, read on to find out how to give your trusty steed a moniker.

Get creative

So, you've finally saved up enough to buy that sweet ride or are planning on getting yourself a car. Congratulations!

But now comes the hard part: what are you going to name it?

Sure, you could go with something obvious like Bluey for a blue car, or Speedy for a sports car. But where's the fun in that?

You want a name that will make people do a double take and maybe even crack a smile.

Think outside the box! Maybe name it after your favorite food or drink, like Sushi or Espresso.

Pro Tip

Don't be afraid to ask for help – bounce ideas off mates or family members, or even try brainstorming with a group

Who wouldn’t want the honour of helping to name your car?

Tip 1: Be observant

Don't panic, coming up with a creative name for your ride isn't rocket science.

Start by looking at your car objectively.

Consider the car's make and model, its colour, its personality and even its quirks.

Is it sleek and speedy? Or maybe it's sturdy and reliable?

Maybe it's a red convertible that loves to go fast, so you could call it Roxy Rocket.

Or perhaps it's a sleek black sedan with a bit of an attitude, so Black Panther could be a fitting option.

Once you have a sense of your car's personality, look for inspiration.

Tip 2: Everyone loves a pun

Why not add a little humour to the mix and come up with some pun-tastic options?

For example, if your car is electric, call it Watt's Up

Don't be afraid to get creative and let your personality shine through with a clever car name.

Who knows, your car might just become a conversation starter at the petrol station.

Tip 3: Use pop culture

Think outside the box and draw inspiration from your favorite films, TV shows, or even music.

Maybe you could name your car after your favourite superhero or an iconic movie character.

But before you decide on a name, you'll want to think about whether it suits your car's personality.

Is your car sporty and fast like the Flash

Or maybe it's a bit grumpy and stubborn like Alf Stewart from Home & Away.

Whatever you decide, just make sure it's something that makes you smile every time you get behind the wheel. Happy naming!

When in doubt…

It's all about finding something that speaks to you and your car or motorbike

And hey, if all else fails, you can always resort to the age-old tradition of putting "Mc" in front of your last name and calling it a day.

Your car, your call.
